Designation - Documentation Manager 

Exp : 15 years of relevant experience in Shipping /Projects/ Freight Forwarding/Air cargo Documentation functions

Job Responsibilities:

• To handle entire Export & Import Documentation activities.
• Position will be responsible to conceptualize and put in place Documentation processes and systems, which are error free and fast, to the satisfaction of the Company, Principals, network partners and Customers with special emphasis on avoidance of claims. 
• Responsibilities will include implementation of procedures as per logistics and freight forwarding industry best practices for the execution of the Export / Import documentation cycle whilst safeguarding the interests of the company and ensure all compliances by the customer. 
• Candidate must be well experienced in Import Manifest processes, IGM preparation & filing. 
• Candidate should possess good communication skills and leadership qualities to guide the Team. 
• Should be able to review and update current SOPs and ensure proper documentation of each case as per the set SOPs revised time to time.
• Maintaining timely and error free service to customers in all cases of import and export documentation wherein HBL, AWB or direct line BL and Multimodal value-added service documentation including transportation, Customs clearance, consols & lashing services may be involved.
• Prepare monthly report on performance and future trends for analysis
• Develop methods to improve cargo documentation process in all above-mentioned cases based on strict adherence to industry standards or sector requirements
• Must be able to independently correspond and represent company with Client, foreign counterparts, Shipping lines, air lines, consol operators, ports and statutory authorities.
• Team leader with experience of leading a team.
• Candidate must have global trade knowledge with shipping documentation compliance.

Job Profile

• Identifying prospective Customers, Business Opportunities, Assessing
• Customer needs in terms of promoting our Freight Forwarding Services.
• Development of Special Container volumes primarily Ex. Ahmedabad Region.
• Providing rates to assigned clients as per their requirements for Different
• Sectors and Different Ports within Principal’s service profile.
• Developing a new customer base along with retention of existing clientele.
• Follow up with the Clients for Bookings on proposals and quotes offered & convert inquiries to firm bookings.
• Achieving set commercial targets (volume / revenue).
• Generating Daily, Weekly, and Monthly sales reports and submitting the same to HODs.
• Pro-

actively search, qualify, develop and engage in new customer relationships.

• Provide Post-Sales support to all Existing and New Clients.
• Outstanding Execution of Sales Strategies consistently across the assigned Zone.

• Ocean freight pricing both overseas and freehand business of import and export
• Preparing comprehensive quotation along with sailing
• Schedule for customer both overseas /freehand business.
• Customs support assistance by updating monthly rates,
• Sailing schedule and rate negotiation, and contract filling.
• Weekly report/month report about sales strategy and conversation ratio
• RFQ/ Bidding submission to the corporate clients and follow up
• Building relationships with carriers like MLO, NVOCC, and LCL co-loaders.
• Carrier’s advisory /service implementation to the sales/clients.
• Quoting to customers on behalf of internal sales
• Troubleshooting issue on space /rate for the alternative for the requirement.
• Weekly carrier’s visit to explore the information to sales and update
• Join calls with sales whenever required to meet clients and closure of business
